Went to the skeleton finals with my house mates which was an amazing day. You dont really appreciate the speed they travel until you see it up close - nutters.
Had a bit of an Olympic moment when Amy Williams won gold, something I will never forget. I videoed her winning run and you can hear us scream every time her split times are up on zi germans! Turn the volume up and enjoy...

Managed to get some free tickets to one of the Olympic award ceremonies which had Deadmau5 playing after.

Much TV

On Monday night after several hours of apres drinking our table went out on national TV on the channel 'Much' (http://www.muchmusic.com/) which is like MTV. We were all asked to wear some delightful sunglasses and have conveniently placed bottles of vitamin water on our table in a product placement/advertising stylee. A couple of my house mates entered a spelling contest live, one won a phone and a few of the girls also got in the hot tub to chat with one of the presenters. It was all quite a surreal drunken experience, happy times!

Whilst the olympics are on there is shed loads of free live music going in Whistler. This video was of Bedouin Soundclash on Sunday and were off to see Deadmau5 tomorrow night.

Powder hound

Thursday night we had 20cm of snow, last night we had another 11cm and tonight were due 20-30cm, POW! Thats on top of the 10 meteres weve already had this season.
However, the snow isnt going down too well with the olympic massive as theve had to delay the downhill ski events as a result, shame!

Fresh tracks

Yesterday we did 'Fresh Tracks' which involves going up the mountain really early, eating an all you can eat buffet breakfast and then having the mountain to yourself for a while before they open the lifts to the general public. We took a bag with us and stuffed it full of breakfast left overs and had a picnic on the slopes for lunch.

Last night we bumped into Graham Bell in a bar. He was pissed out of his face and we ended up talking to him for about 10-15mins. When we asked where Ed Leigh was he went off on one calling him a lightweight as he'd gone to bed early. No doubt his alcohol was being paid for by our tv license fee!

Today everyone that snowboards went skiing and skiers snowboarded. Carnage for the first few runs but everyone picked it up pretty well after a bit of practice and hopefully some skiers have now seen the light and will convert permanently!
